PLSeminars Training of Facilitators Protocol
Purpose
Personal Leadership (PL) Seminars offers the Training of Facilitators (ToF) protocol described below to:
- give maximum developmental support to PL facilitators
- ensure that the basic principles, practices, and foundations of Personal Leadership guide the ongoing work of those who facilitate PL seminars
- make sure that those who are facilitating PL seminars remain up-to-date with the evolving methodology, process technologies, and facilitation strategies.
Ingredients
The training protocol consists of the following minimum ingredients. While they are listed in the sequence by which facilitators most typically engage them, facilitators are encouraged to discuss with the founding partners what sequencing best serves their particular circumstances.
- Complete a Foundations seminar offered by PLSeminar facilitators.
- Start cultivating your own Personal Leadership practice, inviting every moment to serve you as a living laboratory.
- Participate in your first Training of Facilitators seminar.
- Join the PL Facilitator online community and begin actively participating in tele-conferenced Facilitator Conversations.
- Assess your progress towards meeting the PL Facilitator Developmental Benchmarks, and engage in the necessary knowledge- and skill-building processes.
- With the support of a founding partner, and with other PL Seminar facilitators if desired, facilitate an Introductory seminar (or equivalent) for your own client, colleagues, and/or personal community.
- Participate in your second Training of Facilitators seminar.
- As regularly as possible, participate in PL Facilitator Community events.
- On an annual basis, review and sign the PLSeminars Kata and Ki agreement.
- Throughout all of this time, continue to deepen and develop your own Personal Leadership practice.
Recognition
As soon as you complete your first Training of Facilitators seminar, you are considered a member of the Personal Leadership facilitator community. This means that:
- You are welcome to be listed on the PLSeminars website as a ‘Facilitator-in-Training.’
- You are welcome to access the resource materials available through the PL Facilitator Community workspace on Huddle.net, including: design templates, gestalt stories, and facilitator discussions.
- When co-facilitating with a Senior PLSeminars Facilitator, you can:
- order customized PL materials, including Personal Leadership practice cards and PowerPoint slides.
- purchase copies of the PL book for your participants at a 15% discount.
Once you have completed the full ToF Protocol and have met the ToF Developmental Benchmarks, you are recognized as a PLSeminars Senior Facilitator. You maintain that standing as long as you review and sign the annual PL Facilitators Kata and Ki agreement.
